Dear readers,
There is a lot to celebrate at COTRI this week and hopefully also for you, too. Firstly, the new CTT CHINA TOURISM TRAINING HOSPITALITY is online and ready to provide that extra level of understanding of the Chinese outbound tourism market plus a prestigious university certificate from our partners the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Hotel and Tourism Management. Secondly, the eighth edition of our flagship publication, the Spring 2019 issue of the COTRI MARKET REPORT has been published.
Furthermore, we are looking forward in the coming days to meet many of our readers during the ITB China 2019, which will open its door on this Wednesday, 15th March. Those lucky enough to attend, please come to visit COTRI at Stand A121 for a chat and some special offers that are only available at the fair.
And if that would not be enough excitement, there is also the CTW CHINESE TOURIST WELCOME AWARD ceremony coming up on Thursday, 16th March starting at 3.40 pm at the Presentation Hub of ITB China (details see http://www.itb-china.com/about-us/chinese-tourist-welcome-awards/). The CTW Award will be given in partnership with Ctrip, the most important OTA in China, for the second time.
For the 16th time since the CTW CHINESE TOURIST WELCOME AWARD started in 2004, Gold, Silver, and Bronze CTW Awards will be given in each of the five categories: Product Innovation, Internet/Media, Service Quality, Marketing, and Overall Performance. Never before have so many companies and organisations from all continents applied, which have resulted in COTRI and Ctrip’s expert jury to award two additional Honorary Awards to each category. As custom follows, the Gold Award winners will give a short presentation to show the audience why they were awarded for their specific, innovative and adapted services for the Chinese customers.
So come and get your very own CTT ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMME, your copy of the COTRI MARKET REPORT, your badge to enter ITB China, and show your support during the CTW Award ceremony!
To read the text above, you needed approximately two minutes.
In China, during that time 16 million videos were watched on TikTok, eight million voice messages sent via WeChat, 35,000 rides called via Didi, 750 meals ordered via Meituan, and 375 million RMB moved using AliPay. Not to forget the 300 Mainland Chinese who crossed the border to travel to Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan and the other 300 Mainland Chinese who crossed the border to travel even further. All in two minutes.
With best wishes for the week, hope to greet you at Stand A121 at ITB China!
