China Tourism Training

COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute, the leading research institute for Chinese outbound tourism, and the globally top-ranked Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Hotel and Tourism Management, have brought their expertise together to provide the comprehensive online training programme CTT China Tourism Training, aimed at tourism professionals worldwide working with the Chinese outbound tourism market.

In a few months, a wave of Chinese outbound travellers will make up for the trips they had to postpone in 2020.

Now is the right time to prepare for the new Chinese post-virus travellers. CTT online trainings offer a perfect opportunity to reflect on possible improvements in working with the Chinese market and new adapted products.

However, CoViD-19 has changed and in many ways accelerated previous trends and created new demands not only for sanitation but also for more meaningful and often family and nature-oriented travel forms, pursuing special interests and immersion into local culture.

With the CTT online training, a CTT CoViD-19 Update is provided monthly exclusively to all CTT participants during the training and the CTT Alumni Network members afterwards. It is structured according to each of the eight chapters in the five different training tracks, offering extensive information about the shifts in the demands of the customers, the structure of the Chinese tourism industry and newly emerging communication and marketing channels. The CTT CoViD-19 Update is an additional service offered without any additional cost.

The CTT China Tourism Training programme offers five branch-specific specialised training tracks for the major branches of international tourism:

Congratulations on your partnership with Hong Kong Polytechnic University. I am familiar with their online training courses and I’m sure that this will be a great success.
There is certainly a real need here in the Middle East region to upskill teams to understand how to capitalize fully on the opportunities that the Chinese market offers.

“I have to thank everyone for this fantastic course. It has allowed me to significantly expand my cultural knowledge and understanding. Every single clip was an interesting enrichment and I can fully recommend the training. Not only did I learn a lot about Chinese tourism, which is so important in my industry, but I also received practical and useful tips that I can immediately apply in my business environment. I recommend the training to both managers and sales staff who have a lot to do with international customers and want to broaden their horizons and understand what this culture has to offer, but also what we can offer to make their stay with us as pleasant as possible.”

Regional Retail Director Germany and Austria at GIORGIO ARMANI

The Chinese consumer market is highly complex and for many non-Chinese organizations a complicated undertaking to market and deliver products and services.
