1. What is CTT?
CTT China Tourism Training is the global standard online training for the Chinese Outbound Tourism Market. It is an online training programme, aimed at tourism professionals worldwide working with the Chinese outbound tourism market. It is offered in five branch-specific tracks for Hospitality, Destinations, Retail, Attractions and Transportation.
2. Who offers CTT?
CTT is offered by COTRI, a private research institute, founded and owned since 15 years by the famous Chinese outbound tourism expert Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt FRGS FRAS, in cooperation with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM). Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a public university established in Hong Kong in 1937. SHTM is one of the top-ranked Hotel and Tourism schools in the world.
3. What kind of certification CTT offers?
CTT offers a verified university certificate by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, School of Hotel and Tourism Management and by COTRI.
4. Does the CTT certification have a time limit?
No, the verified university certification does not expire.
5. Is it allowed to use the trainings material for internal use?
No, the CTT is strictly only for the person registered for the training. It cannot be shared or placed online in any way.
6. In which language CTT is offered?
The CTT are all in English. At the moment there are no plans to offer CTT in other languages.
7. How to use the CTT online training?
Participants are provide with an access code after paying the participation fee. There is a video which shows the details of how to use the dashboard of CTT on https://china-outbound.com/china-tourism-training/. If any technical questions arise, COTRI offers technical support.
8. Do the trainings begin and end on a particular date and time?
No, the trainings can be started at any time and can be completed at the participants own pace within 90 days after the first time the access code is used.
9. Where can CTT be bought?
CTT can be bought using PayPal or credit card on https://china-outbound.com/china-tourism-training/ or by sending an email with the order to firstname.lastname@example.org. For special order for more than one training, COTRI should be contacted under the same email address.
10. After CTT is finished, when is the verified university certificate provided?
The CTT certificate is provided normally within one week, but certainly within four weeks after the training has been successful finished.
11. What other benefits can CTT participants enjoy?
During the training, all CTT participants can contact each other in a chat room provided by CTT. After finishing the training, successful CTT participants become members of the CTT Alumni Network (CTTAN), which offers networking, live events and a job portal. Membership is free for life. CTTAN members can also apply for membership in the SHTM Alumni Association (SHTMAA). The membership fee for the SHMTAA is paid by the CTT Alumni Network, so membership is free for CTTAN members.
12. Can companies or organisations get special deals when buying more CTT for their staff, members or business partners?
