A delegation from The Hague recently undertook a trade mission in China, which has sought to promote the Dutch city as a destination for Chinese visitors among other bilateral strategic goals.
A highlight of the week-long tour saw the city’s Vice Mayor Richard de Mos visit Beijing, where he signed an MOU with CITIC Travel Group, with the goal of increasing Chinese tourist numbers in The Hague, which became a member city of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) this year.
The trade mission also saw agreement on a number of areas in business, including the featuring of the city in a Chinese television programme (NL), as well as cooperation with the city’s Eredivisie football team ADO Den Haag (NL).
