COTRI Director Prof. Arlt interviewed at WTM by Panda Radio

While at November’s World Travel Market event in London, COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt took time for an interview with Panda Radio on the topic of the latest trends in the Chinese outbound travel industry.

Citing COTRI’s recent contribution to the UNWTO / GTERC Asia Tourism Trends report, Prof. Arlt highlights the growing segmentation of the Chinese outbound market as a key trend for the global tourism industry to take note of, underlining that the pursuit of special interest activities is driving consumption among more experienced travellers.

Prof. Arlt did point out that many European tourism service providers are getting better at learning to adapt their services to the Chinese outbound market, as travellers too become more confident in asserting their wishes.
