COTRI approved as Affiliate Member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute has been accepted as a member of the World Tourism Organization’s (UNWTO) Affiliate Members Programme, following the generous support of Mrs. Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the Deutsche Zentrale für Tourismus (German National Tourist Board).

Counting over 500 members ranging from NGOs, destinations, companies and educational and research institutions, the programme aims to forge alliances and collaboration between private and public bodies in the field of tourism.

In addition to fostering the exchange of knowledge between Affiliate Members and Member States, the programme endeavours to build alignment between the strategies of the private sector and the UN Goals, as well as providing Affiliate Members with the chance to get involved with sustainable tourism development.
