Best wishes for a peaceful and profitable 2018

Dear COTRI Weekly readers,

“May you live in interesting times” is a Chinese curse (!), and 2017 has been an “interesting” year indeed.

Nevertheless, for the Chinese outbound tourism market, the growth and the support of the Chinese government has continued, so as more and more destinations and companies have started the paradigm switch from “lots of Chinese arrivals” to “high-interest, high-spending Chinese guests” as the target of research, trainings, product development and marketing.

COTRI is proud to have been able to help some such stakeholders in this process and will certainly be happy to continue to do so in 2018. The number of staff working in COTRI has doubled this year and will probably double again in the coming year, too.
