
COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt to Take Part in Panel Discussion at UNWTO’s 3rd Euro-Asian Mountain Resorts Conference

COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt is scheduled to take part in an expert panel discussion at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Georgian Government-organised 3rd Euro-Asian Mountain Resorts Conference, which will be held at the Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi in Tbilisi, Georgia from 4th – 7th April, 2017.
Professor Arlt – who is a member of the UNWTO’s Panel of Tourism Experts – will be part of the fourth session “Product Diversification and Attracting New Markets: A Strategic Approach to Improve the Positioning of Mountain Destinations”, which will take place between 9 and 10:30 am on Thursday 6th, April.
The panel will address the topic of new market segments in mountain tourism and the manner in which these new customer groups will drive the need for destinations to adapt and diversify their products. Appearing alongside a moderator and three other panellists, Professor Arlt will deliver a presentation entitled: “China on the Jump – How the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022 Will Shape a New Generation of Skiers and How Established Mountain Destinations Can Benefit”.
Following the panellists’ presentations, the session will continue with a debate before finishing with a question and answer session.
