On Thursday the 3rd of November, 2016, COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt will speak on the topic of “The Evolution of the Chinese Visitor” at the World Bridge Tourism European Launch, which will be held at the Barbican Centre in London. The European Commission-sponsored event will serve as preparation for the attendees from countries across the EU, allowing them to plan how to cater accordingly to the continuously growing numbers of Chinese tourists in Europe in advance of the 2018 EU-China Year of Tourism.
The project, as organised by European Tourism Association (ETOA), and the European Travel Commission (ETC) will involve the attendance of a vast number of European tourism suppliers and their Chinese counterparts. These events – composed of presentations, workshops and networking – are aimed at helping the European Tourism community successfully adapt to the continuing growth of the Chinese outbound tourism market.
Since COTRI is a member of ETOA, Prof. Dr. Arlt will be joining a select number of high-profile presenters to speak at the event, including representatives from the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Travel Commission.
