
COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt to Speak at ITB Asia in Singapore

On Wednesday 19th of October 2016, COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt will speak on behalf of his organisation COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute at the ITB Asia travel conference at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
COTRI’s presentation at ITB Asia will last two hours and consist of three core segments.
During the first half hour (15:00-15:30) COTRI Director Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Georg Arlt will deliver an update on ongoing and future Chinese outbound market trends, including preferred destinations and new forms of travel behaviour and demands, as well as forecasts about the direction in which Chinese outbound tourism is heading.
The subsequent session (15:30-16:10) consists of two presentations for Chinese outbound tourism quantitative data produced by COTRI and its partners for the 60 most important Chinese outbound destinations, as well as representative surveys into travel behaviour, luxury travel and shopping.
The final segment of the workshop (16:10-17:00) will be dedicated to a panel discussion entitled “The Changing Landscape of Chinese Outbound Tourism”. The dialogue will focus on the insights of high-level industry experts who will be closely examining themes including: Chinese FIT travel, social media marketing and new forms of travel that reflect the increasing diversity in the profiles of Chinese travellers. Furthermore, the audience will have the opportunity to have their questions answered by members of the panel.
The Singapore-based trade show opens its gates Wednesday October 19th and will see three days of events before closing on Friday October 21st. Participation is free of charge and all are welcome.
In addition to his appearance at ITB Asia, Professor Arlt will also be representing COTRI at the highly-distinguished ITB China conference, scheduled to take place in Shanghai between May 10th and May 12th 2017.
