Chinese tourism to Tijuana is on the rise. Groups of Chinese people cross the border daily with a tour guide, as Los Angeles is one of the top destinations for the Chinese. Also, the Shanghai-Tijuana Aeromexico flight connects the cities three times a week.

In fact, Tijuana has a diverse cosmopolitan population which includes one of Mexico’s largest Asian populations, predominantly consisting of Chinese immigrants, and, to a lesser extent, Koreans and Japanese. There are about 30,000 foreign students registered in Tijuana’s public school system, the majority of which are Chinese and American.
